Beachbody Challenge Packs
First off, if you are wondering what the Beachbody Challenge is, here’s a quick synopsis. The Challenge is a commitment that you make to yourself to get in the best shape of your life. What makes it unlike anything else is that instead of just getting a workout program and doing it by yourself which can lead to some people “falling off the wagon”, you are put into a Challenge Group and I’ll go over those in a moment but first, watch the incredibly inspiring video below!
What’s a Challenge Group?
A challenge group is led by one of Team Beachbody’s coaches(like me) who provide support, motivation, nutritional and fitness advice to the people in that group. You are highly encouraged to participate in the group by sharing how much better you’re feeling, if you’re getting stronger, how much weight you’ve lost, questions about the program, etc. I have a private Facebook group that you will be invited to if you decide to purchase a Beachbody challenge pack.
We want you to succeed in reaching your goals so whatever questions, comments or concerns that you have about the workout or fitness in general, we’re there to help. Fitness + nutrition + motivation + support = Success!
That being said, if you really don’t want to be a part of the group you don’t have to. Challenge packs do help you save quite a bit of money though, between $20-$40 depending on which program you are interested in.
What kind of Beachbody Challenge Packs are there?
There are several different packs that you can choose from, depending on your fitness level and whether you like resistance training, cardio, a short workout because of time constraints, etc. Here’s a quick synopsis of a few of the more popular workouts.
P90X is great for people who want to get in amazing overall shape and want to tone up or build muscle(Ladies, don’t buy into the myth of you’ll bulk up from lifting weights. You don’t have enough testosterone to put on mass like a guy can and weight training also helps fight osteoporosis. The only way you’ll get “bulky” is if you start taking steroids. Don’t do that.) P90X2 is for people who want to perform like an athlete with physical transformation as an inevitable by-product. Power 90 is the pre-cursor to P90X and is easier.
Insanity is a HIIT (high intensity interval training) cardio-based program that uses many body-weight moves and will leave you in a pile of sweat. Turbofire is HIIT based like Insanity but more geared towards women.
The great thing about Beachbody workout programs is that if you put in the effort and hit play every day (except for the rest days) you cannot fail because they are more than just getting a few workouts. They are well thought out, well designed plans that take out any guess work out of the equation. Follow that programs nutrition guide and hitting play every day will bring results, guaranteed.

What is Shakeology and why is it included?
Shakeology is a meal replacement and nutritional shake. It’s made from the absolute healthiest fruits, vegetables and roots on the planet whose nutrient to calorie ratios are second-to-none. It contains protein, pre-biotics, anti-oxidants, digestive enzymes, fiber, and vitamins and minerals. It’s the healthiest meal you could ever consume, guaranteed. It’s also really darn tasty! Well, the chocolate and tropical strawberry flavors are anyway. The greenberry isn’t bad but I’d much rather have one of the other two.
When it comes to losing weight and getting in shape, nutrition is atleast 50% of the battle. Shakeology makes getting the nutrition that your body needs very easy.
My results.
In the picture below on the left, I weighed in at around 210 pounds and I’m 6’0″ tall. As you can tell, I was pretty round. I knew that I had to start exercising, eating healthier food and asked myself 1 simple question that everyone should. The decision to stop procrastinating and start “right now” was an easy one to make. Things like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes were becoming much more of a reality. I was also tired of looking terrible in my swim trunks! Here are my results so far (about 4 months into P90X and drinking Shakeology every day).
I currently weigh 170 pounds so depending on how much muscle I’ve gained, that’s probably around 40-50 lbs of fat, gone! You can start to see the lines of the “pocket” that usually appears on the sides of a set of abs too! I have more energy, strength and vitality than I’ve had in a long time. I’m not quite ripped yet, but I think I can safely say “I did it!”, and I know you can do it too.
As long as you put in the effort and work up a sweat, it is nearly impossible to not get great results because nothing is left to chance in Beachbody workouts with their fitness and nutrition guides that go along with the programs. Everything that you need to do every day to see the changes that you are looking for is planned out for you.
